Mreznica River Rafting and Kayaking, July 6

On Wednesday, July 6, we went rafting and kayaking on the Mreznica river. Two groups - our guests from Russia and high school teachers from Croatia - enjoyed a fun day at incredible 30+ degrees. Our Russian friends taught us a new game - getting your kayak to move using hands instead of paddles. The most successful team walked away with champagne.

At the end of the trip, the heat and sun were suddenly replaced by a brief shower, but luckily we had finished the trip by then.

Half-day sailing with Huck Finn

Last week we took a small group of four on a half-day sailing trip around the Elaphite Islands. Our guests are often surprised that we do not cancel trips with only two or three guests. Little do they know that this is our favorite way of doing business - in small groups where our guests can get to know each other well and we can personalize your holiday. Neither our guests nor we are fans of mass tourism and overcrowded boats and beaches.

As always, the guests were delighted with both the scenery and their guides. The comments we get most often are that the guides are friendly and knowledgeable about the area and that they perfectly complement the entire experience.

Mreznica River Rafting June 11, 2011

On June 11, 2011 the Huck Finn team took a group of high school freshmen from the First Grammar School in Zagreb (Croatia) for a rafting trip on the Mreznica River.

The water level was exceptionally high for this time of year due to some heavy rain the week before. Neoprene suits kept everyone warm, so not even the chilly 15 degree river could spoil our fun! Both the group and their guides Matko, Marko and Petar spent a great day rafting on the Mreznica, splashing, swimming and jumping into the river.

After a day packed with fun and activities, we had lunch at the Zeleni Kut restaurant by the river. We went home tired, but feeling good about the energetic day spent outdoors.
